I got a call from an 80-year-old Korean, Vietnam veteran in Guam. After three years of service in Vietnam, he was retired from the country, married a Vietnamese woman, and had two sons.

At the time of Vietnam's defeat, he took his wife and two sons on a US military transport ship and sent them to Jinhae, South Korea. He missed time to escape from Vietnam. However, he and his friends arrived in Guam by boat, where they had to spend five years in camp with 300,000 Vietnamese boat people. In 1982, he returned to Korea as a Freeman, but his Vietnamese wife met and married the US Navy and moved to Bremerton, Washington with  two sons.

He returned to Guam and wanted to find a sons, but the Vietnamese wife refused, and now, 40 years later, the old and weak Vietnam war veteran wants to see his sons. I found his two sons living in Kent, WA and told them your father wanted to see you, but they refused to meet. I gave this sad man the current contacts phone number of his two sons.

Through this investigation, it was newly discovered that the Vietnam War was not only a war in the United States and Vietnam, but also had many stories and pains in Korea, and also the history that there were so many Vietnamese boat people camps in Guam.
